Reading Arabian nights right now. What a rich and wonderful collection of stories. This book reminds me of why I want to be a filmmaker. The power of storytelling is so multifaceted. The story is a woman prolonging her execution by the king by telling him stories. The stories often include stories within stories. It’s portrays one of the basic rules of storytelling which is keep the audience guessing.
I watched Public Speaking last night. It reminded me of the intellectualism that I was ardently enthralled in as a teen. Somehow I’ve fallen off the bandwagon. I have to get back on. TO THE BOOK STORE!
